Overview
Pattaya is a city located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, about 165 kilometers southeast of Bangkok, in Chonburi province, eastern Thailand. It is one of the largest tourist centers in Thailand which attracts millions of tourists every year.
Pattaya is a self-governing urban area which is over the entire Nong Prue and Na Klua as well as parts of Huai Yai and Nong Pla Lai. Pattaya is the center of Pattaya-Chonburi - the urban area of Chonburi province with a total population of about 1,000,000 people.
Apart from the beautiful beaches, the island is also famous for its unique Sex Shows. Pattaya is divided into three zones, of which each area has a large and busy bus station. Naklua is the northernmost area. It is quiet and less noisy, but the beach is shallow and muddy. The middle is the center and the most attractive spot with two long streets running along the beach, the coconuts soaring on the beach, the bar, colorful lights, and a bustling atmosphere. At the end is Walking Street, which is extremely colorful and vibrant at night. Jomtien is the southern area located on the other side of the mountains with dreamy restaurants which is close to the beach.
