For almost of our tours, once tour is confirmed and fully paid but for one reason they cancel the tour, the following charges will apply in the event of cancellation prior to tour commencement:
- More than 45 days prior to trip departure: No charge (Full refund will be made but transaction fee will be paid by you).
- 30-45 days before arrival: 10% of total tour price.
- 15-29 days before arrival: 50% of total tour price.
- 7-14 days before arrival: 75% of total tour price.
- Within 7 days before arrival: 100% tour price.

Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to central Hanoi. Check in at your hotel, then enjoy some free time. Overnight at your hotel in Hanoi.

- Day 2: Hanoi - Ha Giang

Departs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings
6:00–6:30 Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi and depart for Ha Giang by bus. You’ll have a short break along the way, with opportunities to take photos.
12:30–13:00 Have lunch in Ha Giang.
14:00 Leave Ha Giang City for Quan Ba. Along the way, take photos of the magnificent rice fields, mountains, and valleys.
15:30 Stop at Heaven’s Gate to enjoy the fresh air and panoramic views of Tam Son Town. Then head to the countryside, where local Tay families will welcome you.
16:00 Take some time to rest and freshen up before trekking around the village.
Discover a rammed-earth house belonging to the Black Dao people, surrounded by terraced rice fields.
Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local homestay.
Overnight at a local Tay homestay.

- Day 3: Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Meo Vac – Ma Pi Leng – Dong Van

6:30–7:00: Have breakfast and enjoy the fresh air and breathtaking mountain views. Check out of the homestay and get ready for the next experience: continue your journey to Meo Vac.
After lunch in Meo Vac, continue to Dong Van and cross Ma Pi Leng Pass. It is one of Vietnam’s most beautiful mountain passes, known for its unique landscape. You’ll have the chance to stand on the steep cliffs overlooking the Nho Que River, which flows from China into Vietnam for about 46 km.
Then trek through small villages where Hmong people live and enjoy the extraordinary mountain scenery. You’ll also have incredible views of the Happy Road below.
16:30 Check in at the hotel in Dong Van Town.
19:00 Have dinner and enjoy the local nightlife.

If you’re here on a Sunday, you can explore the lively and colorful Dong Van Market, where people from the many ethnic groups living in the surrounding area gather in their traditional dress to sell their goods.
After breakfast, continue your journey through the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark and enjoy the fresh air.
On the way, visit the Hmong King’s Palace, one of the most significant cultural and historical monuments in Dong Van, associated with the Vietnam War and the lives of local ethnic groups.
12:00 Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch. Then continue trekking with your guide, taking in the breathtaking scenery, visiting centuries-old villages, and seeing the homes of the Tay ethnic minority.
15:30 Depart for Hanoi.
22:30–23:00 Arrive back in Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Morning: Your driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to Ha Long Bay, with a stop along the way for refreshments.
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed aboard. Check in to your cabin and enjoy a delicious lunch at the restaurant. Afternoon activities may include visiting one of the most beautiful caves in Ha Long Bay, taking a bamboo boat ride in a floating village, relaxing or swimming on an island, and kayaking in a lagoon. Back on the boat, you can join a cooking class or a sunset cocktail party before dinner. The evening is free for you to enjoy at your leisure, or you can join the crew for a squid-fishing trip. Spend the night in a private cabin on a shared cruise.

- Day 6: Halong Bay - Hanoi - overnight train to Sapa

Morning tea and coffee will be served early. You can join a Tai Chi class on the sundeck or go photo hunting in the early morning.
After breakfast, activities may include (if they weren’t arranged on the first day) visiting a cave, taking a cooking class, or climbing to the top of an island for a panoramic view of Ha Long Bay. After checking out, enjoy brunch and the beautiful views of the bay as you pass many islands and islets with karst formations on the way back to the harbor.
A tender will take you back to the mainland, where you’ll board the bus to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at around 4:30–5:00 p.m.
At 8:30 p.m., you’ll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Hanoi Railway Station to board the night train to Lao Cai.
Overnight on the train in an air-conditioned deluxe wooden cabin.

- Day 7: Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van

5:00–5:30 a.m.: Arrive in Lao Cai early in the morning. You’ll be picked up and transferred to Sapa by shuttle bus. Freshen up and have breakfast at the hotel.
9:30 a.m.: Begin a 6 km walk southeast of Sapa, along the side of Muong Hoa Valley, to Y Linh Ho Village, home to the Black Hmong. Continue with a 2 km trek downhill to Lao Chai Village, then walk through terraced rice fields to Ta Van Village, home to the Giay people. Have lunch with a local family and learn about their home architecture, daily life, and customs. Enjoy the scenery along the way. The final trek is about 2 km to the bus stop in Ta Van, where you’ll return to Sapa by jeep or minivan. Overnight at a hotel in Sapa.

- Day 8: Cat Cat - Sin Chai - Lao Cai - overnight in Hanoi

Walk about 4 km southwest of Sapa to visit Cat Cat Village, home to the Black Hmong. Relax at the foot of the stunning waterfall and see the remains of a hydroelectric power station built by the French during the colonial period in Vietnam. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the river, then continue for another 3 km to Sin Chai, a village at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the Roof of Vietnam and Indochina.” From here, take in the stunning scenery before boarding a jeep to return to Sapa. Then take a bus to the train station and board the train back to Hanoi. End of tour.

5:30–6:00 a.m. Arrive in Hanoi. Take a taxi to the hotel (the taxi fare is at your own expense) and have breakfast. No room is included.
If your departure flight is in the afternoon, you’ll join a complimentary walking tour in the morning.
9:00 a.m. Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel. Then, start the walking tour to explore Hanoi’s Old Quarter, famous for its “36 guild streets.”
11:00 a.m. Return to your hotel and wait for your airport transfer.
If your departure flight is in the morning, you’ll have free time until your driver takes you to the airport.

Dong Van is very attractive place with many rise fields and others unbelievable nature sights of mountains rivers waterfalls and many more, hotels are simple there but clean and all is very cheap for western people.

This was my first visit to Vietnam and I wanted to get off the beaten track. After seeing amazing pictures of the Dong Van karst plateau, I knew this was the place to visit. Though there were more tourists (both Vietnamese and foreigners) than expected, it was certainly a very special experience. The landscape gets very interesting soon after Ha Giang. The mountains / karst formations come in very different shapes, just stunning. We chose to do the tour by car, which is probably the most comfortable option on these winding roads. There is so much to see: mountains, the marvellous Ma Pi Leng pass, rice fields, idyllic villages and interesting towns + markets... The people were so wonderful. My favourite part of the trip was hiking and seeing villages and people + the landscapes in more detail than from the car. It was a very special experience.

We spent 3 days in Dong Van to visit some places as Quan Ba, Dong Van Town... route was not so long but it took much time due to wrist roads. We met a lot of local people on the way, beautiful countryside and lovely children. If you want to see Tam Gia Mach flower you should travel from Oct - Nov, weather is cool too...

It is a beautiful walk from Lao Chai to Ta Van, full of surprised. There are quite a few villagers trying to following you all the way from Lao Chai to Ta Van trying to sell something to you... don’t get offended. Also, there is only one tiny road for bikes and pedestrians, so watch out for the bikes.. but they always horning, so I guess it is quite safe. One of a good choice to spend half a day there.
