- Day 1: Phnom Penh arrival - City Tour

Welcome to Cambodia! Upon arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, meet your guide and driver, who will transfer you to your hotel for check-in.
After lunch, begin your sightseeing tour with a visit to the Independence Monument and the notorious Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21 Prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces and became one of the largest detention and torture centers during the Khmer Rouge regime.
Continue to the Russian Market (Psar Tuol Tumpong), a maze of stalls selling everything from CDs and DVDs to silk products, handicrafts, jewelry, and more.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a sunset cruise on the Mekong River, offering views of the Royal Palace from the water and the confluence of the rivers that form four branches. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay in Phnom Penh.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a Phnom Penh city tour. Visit Wat Phnom Temple, the landmark from which Phnom Penh takes its name, offering views over the city’s tree-lined avenues. Founded in 1373, the pagoda was built to house Buddhist relics washed ashore by the river.
Continue to the Victory Monument and the Royal Statue of the late King-Father Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk. Visit the National Museum, also known as the Musée des Beaux-Arts. Designed in the Khmer style by French archaeologist and painter Georges Groslier in 1917, the museum houses a collection of Khmer art, notably sculptures from different historical periods.
Next, visit the Royal Palace, built in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the Royal Palace grounds, the Silver Pagoda takes its name from its floor, which is covered with approximately 5,000 silver tiles. Its treasures include a solid-gold Buddha weighing 90 kilograms and adorned with precious stones, as well as a small 17th-century Buddha made of emerald and Baccarat crystal.
After the city tour, transfer from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap by public bus, with a journey of approximately six hours. This transfer is unescorted by a guide. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, meet your guide and driver at the bus station and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Siem Reap.

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your morning exploration at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, featuring enormous statues depicting the Churning of the Ocean of Milk. Continue to the ancient capital of Angkor Thom, dating back to the 12th century, and visit Bayon Temple, renowned for its 54 towers decorated with more than 200 smiling faces of Avalokiteshvara. Proceed to Baphuon Temple, which reopened after years of restoration, followed by the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the Terrace of the Leper King.
After lunch, visit Angkor Wat, the most famous temple complex on the Angkor Plain. Covering approximately 81 hectares, the complex is comparable in scale to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are featured on the Cambodian flag, and this 12th-century masterpiece is considered by art historians a prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. The five towers symbolize the five peaks of Mount Meru, while the surrounding wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the moat symbolizes the ocean beyond.
Enjoy sunset at Angkor Wat, with views of the surrounding countryside. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant accompanied by a traditional Cambodian classical dance and Apsara performance. Overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap.
