For almost of our tours, once tour is confirmed and fully paid but for one reason they cancel the tour, the following charges will apply in the event of cancellation prior to tour commencement:
- More than 30 days before arrival: No charge
- 15-30 days before arrival: 10% of total tour price.
- 7-15 days before arrival: 50% of total tour price.
- 4-7 days before arrival: 75% of total tour price.
- Within 3 days before arrival: 100% tour price.

- There will be no refund given for any unused or missed ground arrangements, sightseeing, meals or hotel accommodations.
- For no show cases, there will be no refund.

In case of an unexpected situation/ bad weather causes an effect on your trip after commencement, we serve the right to change the itinerary of your booked tour for the safety of all clients in the group. If there are more than one solution, we will ask for your permission and agreement to do the next step. In such kind of cancellation, the refund of any payment on the un-used portion of transportation service, hotel service, car rental or tours will be given.

Itineraries
- Day 1: Hanoi - Hai Phong - Lan Ha bay

09:00 – An optional bus will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter for a transfer via the highway to Got Port, Hai Phong, arriving at approximately 11:30.
12:00 – Transfer by tender to MAYA CRUISE. On the way to the main boat, you will have the opportunity to see Cai Trap Canal.
12:15 – Welcome aboard MAYA CRUISE! Check in, enjoy a welcome drink, and receive a cruise briefing and safety instructions. The cruise then begins its journey to explore Lan Ha Bay.
12:40 – MAYA CRUISE proceeds to Da Chong Islet, where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. Enjoy lunch while cruising past the islets, admiring the impressive limestone karsts rising dramatically from the sea.
15:00 – Continue to the Tra Bau area of Lan Ha Bay, a peaceful and secluded destination in the region. Enjoy kayaking or simply relax with a refreshing swim.
17:30 – Return to MAYA CRUISE and admire the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin.
Join a traditional cooking class on board, where our chef will guide you in preparing Vietnamese dishes. In the early evening, take advantage of the cruise’s Happy Hour offers.
19:30 – Dinner is served. Savor delicious local cuisine prepared by our onboard catering team in an intimate and romantic setting.
21:30 – Enjoy the bay’s enchanting nighttime scenery from the sundeck while sipping drinks from the bar. Try your hand at night squid fishing or relax with a movie in the restaurant.

- Day 2: Viet Hai Village - Bai Tu Long Bay

06:00 – Start your day early on board MAYA CRUISE with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Enjoy a light breakfast of coffee, tea, and pastries in the dining room while admiring the bay’s beautiful morning scenery, before continuing the journey.
08:30 – Transfer to the day boat for a visit to Viet Hai Village. Enjoy a bicycle ride along village paths, passing through rainforests and dark tunnels. Admire the stunning rice-field scenery along the way before stopping at the village to relax. Visit an ancient local house made of straw, mud, bamboo, and other traditional materials, and discover the daily life of the local community in this peaceful valley.
An optional electric car service is available at an additional cost.
Return to the day boat and continue exploring Bai Tu Long Bay. Lunch is served on board.
13:30 – Explore Bai Tu Long Bay with opportunities for kayaking and swimming in the Ba Ham Lake area, a remarkable natural setting surrounded on all four sides by towering vertical cliffs. Activities are subject to weather conditions.
16:00 – Return to MAYA CRUISE and join a traditional cooking class, where our chef will guide you in preparing Vietnamese dishes. Admire the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. In the early evening, take advantage of the cruise’s Happy Hour offers.
19:30 – Dinner is served. Savor delicious local cuisine prepared by our onboard catering team in an intimate and romantic setting.

06:00 – Join a Tai Chi session on the sundeck, followed by a light breakfast. After breakfast, continue the journey by canoe to explore the bay around the Bright and Dark Cave area.
09:30 – Return to MAYA CRUISE and complete the check-out procedures.
10:00 – Enjoy a delightful brunch on board as the cruise makes its way back to the harbour.
11:35 – Arrive at the quay on the southern side of the bay and disembark.
12:10 – Say farewell at Gia Luan Port, marking the end of the cruise program.
14:00 – Arrive back at your drop-off point in Hanoi. End of the trip.

We had a fantastic time on the Maya cruise ship, the staff were really enthusiastic and friendly and would not hesitate to help us when we needed assistance. The activities were also great, they suggested that we get up early to go to the caves and avoid the crowds which was a good advice as when we were leaving the caves all of the other boats had to wait in line. Our two tour guides Chung and Tommy were some of the nicest people we met on our whole trip, their English was very good, in particular Tommy and their knowledge of the area was remarkable. Definitely a company worth booking with, at an affordable price!

Great experience! Great itinerary for the 3 day program. Food, drinks, staff was excellent and always happy to help. Great kayaking with Tommy and bicycle tour on the island with David. Make sure you take the 3 day tour to check the island and the village.

Had a very nice bike tour with our guide named David of Cat Ba island on the Maya cruise (3 days 2 nights total tour). We visited a nice local village and experienced some local drinks (snake juice is great). After we visited the village we did a short hike to a cool cave, thanks David!

WOW, this trip was wonderful. From the moment our guide Soya (hope I spelt it right), picked us up in the luxury van, to the end of the trip we were captivated. Our rooms were so very comfortable and we slept soundly. The lunch and dinners onboard were scrumptious and well decorated, drop dead gorgeous. Breakfast was just basic but still ok. Kayaking was magic and swimming off the pontoon was very refreshing. Our second day allowed us to take in another day of kayaking. Our guide was great, top points to David, he showed us so much on Cat Ba island, but I couldn't drink the snake rice wine, but had a sip of the honey rice wine, it sure packs a burn on the lips. The boat crew that took us to the pontoon, and later cooked us a meal were also so very good. This experience is one that should not be missed. Great 3 days 2 nights.

We went for the 3day/2night cruise with Maya cruises. It was beautiful and the scenery was great! Food was magnificent, with local seafood. First day we went kayaking, we found an remote bay with an old tempel and we were all by ourselfs. Then we did swimmimg before we went back to the ship for dinner and drinks. Second say we were picked up by a smaller boat and brought to a village on Cat Ba island, you can choose between bike and car. Went for the homestay and a batcave and tasted the local drinks. Our guide David, followes us all day and told about the community and history of the village. Afterwards an splended lunch on the ship before kayak in between the fishfarms og small islands. Laste thing of the minicruis was swimming in one of the white beaches in the bay. Water was warm and we had the beach all to out selfes. Later on, 5 course dinner and drinks onboars the main vessel. Third day we went through the caves and had good lunch onboard again before going back to Hanoi. Wery nice and clean onboard, fine cabins og very friendly crew. Good english!
