Saigon - Mekong Delta 5 days package

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, the driver will pick you up and transfer you to the center of Saigon. Check in at the hotel (after 2:00 PM) and enjoy some free time.

At 6:00 PM, the guide will pick you up at your hotel and start the Street Food Tour.

We will dive into the alleys and streets to discover the hidden charm of Saigon while gaining insider knowledge of the city's cuisine. We will not only introduce you to a variety of authentic local delicacies but also give you an insight into the customs and traditions that make Vietnam unique.

7:15–8:15 AM: The tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in central Saigon.

Take a morning sightseeing tour to visit the Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace. It was built on the site of the former Norodom Palace. The Independence Palace is one of the most well-known landmarks in Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the renowned Vietnamese architect Ngo Viet Thu.

Continue to admire some of the city's beautiful French Colonial-era architecture, including Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon and the historic Central Post Office. Then, visit the War Remnants Museum, which features extensive exhibits documenting the wars in Indochina.

Have lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, depart for Ben Dinh, Cu Chi Tunnels. The journey takes approximately one and a half hours by bus. Upon arrival, you will receive a brief introduction and watch an introductory video explaining how the tunnels were constructed and how people survived under the harsh conditions of wartime.

Then, explore the remaining areas and tunnel systems, including specially constructed living quarters with kitchens and bedrooms, as well as other military facilities such as storage areas, weapons workshops, field hospitals, and command centers. These facilities helped the people living inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. You will also see many hidden trapdoors and dangerous traps built into the maze-like tunnel system for security during the war.

Afterward, enjoy some special tea and cassava, which was a staple food for the guerrillas during the war.

Take some time to relax or, for those interested, try shooting at the on-site shooting range.

Pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for My Tho.

Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, which dates back to the late 19th century. Then, board a sampan and cruise around the four beautiful islands, known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise Islands.

Stop at Unicorn Island and take a walk along the village paths to admire the orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, and listen to traditional Vietnamese folk music performed by local people. Visit a local fruit orchard and experience a sampan ride through the Thoi Son Canal, enjoying the peaceful beauty of the countryside.

Visit a local family business and a bee-keeping farm, where you can enjoy honey tea and learn about the traditional process of making coconut candy.

Have lunch at a local restaurant. Free time to relax.

In the afternoon, enjoy a cycling tour around Tan Thach Village, meeting local people and experiencing their daily life in the Mekong Delta. For those who do not wish to cycle, you can relax in a hammock and enjoy the cool breeze.

Continue to Can Tho. Enjoy some free time at leisure. Overnight at a hotel in Can Tho.

Have breakfast at the hotel early in the morning.

Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong River (Bassac River). Then, visit Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the liveliest floating markets in the region.

Take a walking tour to visit a local fruit orchard and a traditional noodle-making factory.

Visit Binh Thuy Communal House and Munir Ansay Pagoda, a Khmer pagoda renowned for its unique architecture.

Have lunch before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

5:00 PM: Drop off at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
